Season 3 was an amazing time for our school sports teams, full of energy and big wins! We had a fantastic turnout this year, with so many students coming to tryouts and joining our teams. It was exciting to see new faces and returning players all ready to play and make our school proud. With all this talent, our teams worked hard and advanced to several playoffs during the season. Every game was a chance to show our skills and teamwork, and we loved cheering each other on. We’re so happy to share how everyone did in this report!

U14 Boys’ Badminton — Our U14 boys badminton team did a super job this year and got 6th place. We had a brand-new team because the older players moved up to the U20 team. Despite starting fresh, the new team quickly found their footing, showing remarkable growth in their game strategy, agility, and teamwork. Each match highlighted their determination and rapid improvement. For most of them, this was their first time playing in real matches, and they loved it. Big congrats to our U14 boys badminton team for playing so well—we’re excited to see them keep growing!

U14 Girls’ BadmintonThe U14 girls badminton team had a great season this year, and we were lucky to have most of our players return from last year. These girls already knew each other well, so they started strong and worked hard together. During the regular season, they won several games, showing off their skills and teamwork. All that practice paid off because we made it to the playoffs again!

In the semifinals, we faced DC and played our best, but we lost 1-3 in a tough match. The girls didn’t give up, though—they came back ready to fight in the bronze medal match against AISHK. That game was super close, but we pulled through with a 3-2 win! Everyone cheered as we took home the bronze medal, and the team was so proud of what they achieved. With this experience, they’ve grown even better at smashing and serving. We’re excited to see them keep improving next year, and maybe they’ll aim for an even higher spot on the podium!

U20 Boys’ Badminton — The U20 boys badminton team had an awesome season this year! For the first time in three years, we made it to the playoffs, which was a huge success for us. We worked hard and played some tough matches to get there. In the semifinals, we faced WIS, but we didn’t play our best and couldn’t win that one. We learned from what went wrong and came back stronger.

In the bronze medal match against DC, we did great and won 4-1! This was our first medal in three years, and the team was so excited. Half of our players are graduating this year, so they were extra proud to finish with a win. Next year, we’ll need to find new players to join the team and keep up our good work. Everyone is excited to build on this success and aim for even more medals in the future!

U20 Girls’ BadmintonThe U20 girls badminton team had a really good season this year and made it to the playoffs again! They worked hard all season, practicing a lot of doubles games to get better as a team. Sometimes, they even teamed up with the U14 girls for friendly matches, which was fun and helped everyone improve. In the playoff semifinals, they faced YCIS, but it was a tough match, and we lost 1-4. The girls didn’t let that stop them—they stayed strong and fought hard in the bronze medal match against DC. We lost both doubles matches, but the games were super close, and they showed a lot of effort.

In the end, we got 4th place, which is still something to be proud of! Most of our players came up from the U14 team, and some of our U20 girls aren’t graduating yet. That means we’ll have a strong group next year, and we’re sure they’ll aim to reach the finals. This season was a big success, and we’re excited for what’s coming next!

Junior & Senior Track & Field Team  This year, our track and field team grew stronger, and more AIS students joined in for the championship. We had a bigger junior group of runners who were excited to compete and show their skills. On March 26th, our junior team had an amazing day at the AIS championship and brought home several medals. For example, the U12 girls 4x100m relay team sped to 1st place, making us all so proud! The U14 girls also did great, winning a bronze medal in the high jump event with some awesome jumps. Everyone cheered loudly for their hard work and big smiles. We’re so happy to see our younger athletes shining this season!

On March 27th, it was time for the senior track and field championship, and our team kept the winning spirit going. Even though we didn’t have many seniors join this year, they still made us proud by earning a medal. The U20 boys took 3rd place in the high jump, showing off their strength and determination. Every athlete gave their best, and it was exciting to watch them compete.

Next year, we plan to get more senior runners to join the team so we can do even better. With more practice and new teammates, we’re determined to grow stronger and aim for more medals in the future. This year was a great start, and we can’t wait to see what’s next!

U20 Girls’ Football This year, our U20 girls football team played a 7-a-side, and it brought some exciting changes! We had a few young players move up from the U14 team to help out, and they fit right in with the U20 squad. With this mix of new and older players, we won several games during the season and earned a spot in the playoffs. It was awesome to see everyone working together and having fun on the field.

In the semifinals, we faced SASHK and gave it our all, but we lost that match. We didn’t let that stop us—in the bronze medal game, we played YCIS and fought hard, scoring an amazing 6-1 win! That victory gave us 3rd place in the U20 football competition, our first medal in three years. The team was so proud and happy to celebrate together.

We hope more girls sign up to join the team next year because we want to grow even stronger. With more players and practice, we’re aiming to reach the finals next season and maybe even bring home a bigger prize!

U20 Boys’ Football This year was a tough one for our U20 boys football team, but we still made it through with a lot of heart. Many of our senior players graduated last year, so we started with a brand-new team of fresh faces. It took time to get everyone working together because building team chemistry isn’t easy when you’re all new. We played lots of matches against strong opponents and learned something useful every time we stepped on the field.

During the season, we focused hard on teamwork and talking to each other during games. Our coaches helped us practice passing and planning better, which made us stronger week by week. Even though we didn’t make the playoffs this time, we worked really hard and had some fun moments too. We’re hoping all this effort pays off next season so we can get back to the playoffs like we did last year. With more practice and a tighter team, we’re ready to come back even better!

We want to give a big thank you to all our amazing coaches who worked so hard this season. You gave your time and energy to help our students get better at their favorite sports, and it really made a difference. Your support, patience, and great teaching showed our players how to improve their skills and believe in themselves. Because of your dedication, our students grew stronger, won medals, and had so much fun along the way. We’re so grateful for everything you’ve done for our AIS teams—you’re a huge part of our success. Thank you for being the best coaches we could ask for!

In Season 1, we kicked off with volleyball and football, setting a strong tone for the year. With many new players joining our teams, our athletes demonstrated remarkable dedication and commitment during practices. The team spirit was vibrant, and everyone collaborated to pursue success. Now, let’s celebrate the incredible results from Season 1!

U14 Boys’ Football — This season was full of new experiences as some players moved up to the U20 team. We happily welcomed many talented young players to our team. We focused on improving how we talk to each other and trying out different ways of playing. Although we didn’t make it to the playoffs, we became even closer as a team and got much better at our game strategies.

U14 Girls’ Football — The U14 girls’ team had a fantastic season. They scored lots of goals in every game this year, and our players are really skilled in their positions. Unfortunately, we faced tough luck as we ended up in 3rd place, just missing out on the playoffs which only the top 2 teams could enter. Despite this setback, we managed to form a strong team this year, and we aim to be even stronger next year.

U14 Girls’ VolleyballThe U14 girls’ team reached the playoffs this season. They had many close games during both the regular season and the playoffs. Even though we lost to NAIS in the semifinals, we remained confident for the bronze medal match. In a thrilling third set, we won against CAIS in the bronze medal match. This year, our players are filled with confidence, and everyone can consistently deliver strong serves during matches. Looking ahead, we are excited about the potential and growth of our team.

U16 Girls’ Volleyball — The U16 girls’ team made it to the playoffs this season. They had a perfect record in the regular games, winning each one. In the semifinals, we emerged victorious against CDNIS. Although we faced NAIS in the final playoff, we narrowly lost by 2 points in the third set and came out of the championships with silver medals. Despite the loss, we displayed excellent sportsmanship throughout the game. This year, many new players from G9 joined our team, which gives us room for improvement in the coming year. We are eagerly looking forward to what the next season will bring.

U20 Girls’ VolleyballThe U20 girls team had a great season. We welcomed many new players this year and we worked hard on our skills and accurate passing. We ended up in 5th place in Division 2. Next year we’ll have more new players joining us from the U16 team. We are looking forward to having these new players with us in the U20 team next year.

U20 Boys’ VolleyballThe U20 boys team improved a lot this year. We had many new training drills with the coach and the captain. We worked hard on spiking and got many points by spiking in each game. We won a few games in the league and ended up in 5th place in Division 3. Our team became stronger and more united this year. We are determined to become stronger and aim to reach the playoffs next year.

A big thank you to all the coaches for your dedication. You’ve created a wonderful positive team environment and encouraged good sportsmanship at AIS. We are excited for Season 2!

In Season 4, we had a short season with challenging weather, particularly due to the rain. Despite these circumstances, our students and coaches demonstrated remarkable dedication and perseverance. They embraced the challenges and remained focused on their goal of enhancing skills and fostering strong team dynamics. We had an incredible season with the juniors. Now, join us in eagerly celebrating our AIS Eagles’ remarkable results.

We had a lot of players on our U14 Boys’ Touch Rugby team this year. We put in a lot of effort right from the start of the season. We worked hard and made it to the playoffs and we played against ICHK in the final. Although we scored more points in the final, the other team performed better overall. As a result, we ended up winning the silver medal in touch rugby. We will have a U20 Mixed Touch Rugby team for the next academic year, so stay tuned!

Our U14 Girls’ Touch Rugby team had a really good season, throughout its challenges. They won one game, tied another, and lost two during the season. They ended up in 3rd place in their group, but unfortunately did not qualify for playoffs. Our girls worked really hard and showed great teamwork and spirit throughout the season. They even played some friendly matches with the U14 Boys’ team. However, they are excited about the opportunity to play in a mixed touch rugby team next year!

Despite the difficulties posed by the weather and the need for rescheduling games in this season, our U12 Boys’ Football team remained resilient and determined. They showed great dedication and worked hard during practices, and focused on improving their skills and teamwork. Some new players joined from Grade 5, and they brought fresh talent and got along well with everyone. They stayed positive and communicated well during games.

The U12 Girls’ Football team had an amazing season. Even though they had a small number of players, they were incredibly strong and had great endurance to play multiple games in a day. They worked really hard during practice and made significant improvements in their skills. Many of the players were new to football, but they showed remarkable progress, especially in their defensive abilities. They finished in 5th place, but they learned a lot from all the games they played. We believe they will become even stronger, and we hope to have more players join the team next year!

We want to say thank you to all our coaches for your commitment and dedication. Our Eagles are truly thankful for the opportunity to learn from you, and they have seen tremendous improvement in their skills throughout this season. They are excited to continue learning and growing under your guidance. Thank you for your dedication and for being such wonderful coaches!

This season, we participated in badminton, football, and track and field.

In Season 3 Athletics, we had a lot of students who joined our sports teams, which really is an impressive achievement. This season, we participated in badminton, football, and track and field. Our students dedicated themselves to honing their skills and improving their techniques in these sports. Along the way, they also developed a strong sense of confidence, teamwork, and trust within their amazing teams. Let’s celebrate the amazing accomplishments of our badminton, football, and track and field Eagles.

Our U14 Boys Badminton team did a fantastic job by securing 5th place. Compared to last year, they showed significant improvement in their game strategy and skills. They worked diligently and approached each match with a strong sense of confidence. Additionally, they had a friendly match with our U20 boys badminton team, and it was an excellent game where both teams performed exceptionally well. Congratulations to our U14 boys badminton team for their outstanding performance!

U14 Girls’ Badminton achieved 5th place, missing the playoffs by just 1 point behind the 4th place. Despite this, the team demonstrated excellent sportsmanship in every game and displayed a strong desire to enhance their skills during each practice. Their teamwork was exceptional, and they fought hard for every point without giving up. We are incredibly proud of the U14 girls’ badminton team. Well done!

U20 Boys’ Badminton had an amazing season! We played many challenging matches and ended up in 5th place. Our players improved a lot compared to last year, and we also added some strong players to our team. We are determined to make it to the playoffs next year!

The U20 Girls’ Badminton team had a successful season and made it to the playoffs this year! We welcomed some new players to our team and our lineup became stronger than last year. Although we gave it our all during the semi-final match, the opposing team performed better than us and we didn’t make it to the final. In the bronze medal match, we competed against DSC and tried out our new strategy. Unfortunately, we lost by just one game. It was an exciting game, and our goal for next year is to strive for a medal.

We had more than 70 students sign up for our Junior & Senior Track & Field team, which is really impressive! This year, our team was stronger and we had many more Eagles participating in the championship. On April 17th, the AIS senior team joined the senior track and field championship, and we won several medals that day. For example, U16 Girls got 1st place in shotput, U20 Boys got 2nd place in high jump, U16 Eagles got 2nd place in high jump, and U16 Girls got 3rd place in long jump. On April 18th, we had the junior track and field championship, and we won a few medals that day as well. U14 Girls got 1st place in shotput and 1st place in discus. Unfortunately, we had to cancel some events because of heavy rain. We rescheduled those events for April 25th, and on that day, our U12 Girls and U14 Boys got 3rd place in long jump. Additionally, our U12 Girls 4 x 100m relay team won a silver medal, and U12 girls got 3rd place overall in the event. We are determined to become even stronger next year and aim for better results.

This year has presented our U20 Girls’ Football team with a new challenge as we moved up to the Gold division. Despite the increased difficulty, we embraced the opportunity and gave our best in every game. We even achieved a remarkable victory, winning a game and scoring three goals in a single match! We are determined to continue pushing ourselves to achieve even greater success next year!

This year, our incredible U20 Boys Football team made it to the playoffs and secured 3rd place, competing against the 2nd place team, STC. We put in a lot of effort, being aggressive and physical right from the start. In the semi-final, we scored 3 goals and won with a score of 3-0. In the playoff final, we faced MCHK and gave our best shot to get 1st place. However, we made a few mistakes and ended up losing with a score of 1-2 in the final, earning the silver medal in the playoffs. This year, we had some stronger football players, which led to a good outcome in the playoffs. We are hopeful to bring the championship banner back next year!

We want to say thank you to all the coaches who have given their time and effort to help our students become good at their chosen sports. Your dedication and support have had a big influence on student’s progress and achievements. We truly value your important contribution to our AIS team.

We’re thrilled to share the amazing achievements of our sports teams in Season 2! Our athletes showed incredible dedication, teamwork, and skill, making a lasting impact on the court. Let’s celebrate the fantastic accomplishments of our basketball and cross-country teams.

Our U14 Boys Basketball team, with new talent from grades 7 and 8, did incredibly well. They worked together and played their hearts out, making each game unforgettable. The team finished 3rd place in the Kowloon Side Silver Division, just 3 points behind 2nd place. Despite narrowly missing out on a playoff spot by three points, our U14 boys team showcased immense growth and an unbreakable team spirit. Their chemistry was simply electric, fueling their incredible improvement throughout the season.

The U14 Girls’ Basketball team finished the season on a high note, securing an impressive 3rd place in the Silver Division. They displayed remarkable sportsmanship, outstanding teamwork, and made significant improvements throughout the season. Their hard work, dedication, and unwavering spirit truly paid off. We couldn’t be prouder of their accomplishments and the exciting basketball journey they embarked upon. What a great season!

The U16 Boys Basketball team had an amazing season with many new players joining the team. Throughout the season, they focused on building teamwork and improving their skills. Although they lost in the semi-finals against KCCIS, they learned from their mistakes and made significant improvements on passing and rebound in the bronze medal match against CAIS. In the end, they emerged victorious and won the bronze medal. Congratulations to the U16 Boys Basketball team on their exciting season and well-deserved achievement!

The U20 Girls Basketball team had some new players join this year. Despite the challenges they have faced, the team’s performance has been nothing short of impressive. Their dedication and hard work have paid off as they have consistently shown improvement and growth throughout the past two years. Their commitment to the sport and each other has created a strong bond within the team, fostering a positive and supportive environment. With their remarkable progress, the future looks bright for this talented group of athletes.

The U20 Boys Basketball team had an amazing season this year. They only lost one game throughout the entire season and made it to the playoffs. In the semi-final match against SASHK, they won and discovered areas they needed to improve, like rebounding. In the championship match against CAIS, it was a close game with both teams tied until the third quarter. However, CAIS managed to pull ahead in the fourth quarter and took the victory, with us coming out with the silver medal. Regardless of the result, the U20 boys gave their all and their dedication and passion were truly inspiring. We are proud to have such a fantastic team this year and we can’t wait to see how far we can go next year!

This year, we had double the number of runners compared to last year in our MS/HS Cross Country team. We had more students with MS joining our team, which made us more competitive. We took part in two mini-meets where we made significant progress in our running abilities and achieved personal best times. Throughout the season, we learned various strategies and techniques for running. In the Cross Country Championship, all of our runners performed their fastest times, despite the challenging route. Overall, we had an amazing season and we are hopeful to get even more runners next year!

This year, we started our first ever AIS MS/HS Golf team. We had three players join the team, and we participated in one small tournament. One of our players did exceptionally well and secured a third-place finish in the tournament. Additionally, two of our players qualified to compete in the championship at Kau Sai Chau. Out of a total of 57 students, we achieved 14th and 29th place. We are determined to recruit more talented golfers to join our team next year.

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all the coaches who have dedicated their time and effort to help our students develop into sportsmanship athletes. Thank you for stepping up and guiding our students on their athletic journey. Your commitment and support have made a significant impact on their growth and success. We appreciate your invaluable contribution to our AIS team.

Our U20 Mixed Rugby Team are Champions and have taken home gold medals. We could not be more proud!! Dreams really do come true. Thank you to Coach Pagel for taking them to the top!

At the beginning of the 2019-20 school year, a group of freshman girls petitioned the Athletic Director, High School Principal and Head of School to appeal the decision that we do not run sports teams for High School during Season 4 since we are too busy with end of year projects, AP exams and other special events. Eventually, it was agreed that since they were Grade 9 students and so unlikely to be significantly impacted by the AP exam schedule we would permit the introduction of the Touch Rugby team to our school’s sporting calendar.

However, that was the year COVID broke and no Season 4 sport team has run again until 2022-23. With sports opening up again this year, these students – now seniors – were given their chance to finally compete: We set up the U20 Mixed Touch Rugby ? team for Season 4 and joined the International Schools’ Sports Federation of Hong Kong (ISSFHK) league! Well, after all the training and hard work that has gone on during the busy time of April and May, the team had won all of their fixtures and reached the playoffs!

After falling behind to the first score of the match there was concern on the sidelines, but the team fought back with tries from Maia Itakura-Prepscius, G12, and Abir Malhotra, G10, putting the Eagles in front going into halftime. However, in the second half our opponents, International College Hong Kong (ICHK), came back strongly to cross the line for the next two scores and go back in front 3-2. This prompted AIS into a fiercely determined state and they advanced upfield for Nicholas Wu, G12, to burst through the defense and score the equalizing score before a fiercely competitive end to the game ensued with both sides nearly scoring the winning try! However, the final whistle blew and the game ended in regular time: 3-3.

What then followed was a period of extra time with a player removed from each side after every two minutes and a sudden death score to produce the winner. The game remained high on entertainment and drama with all spectators watching on the sidelines feeling extremely tense. There was a moment when AIS senior, Nick Wu once again sped past the ICHK defenders for what seemed like the winning score and the celebrations began but then were quickly dashed as the referee called everyone back claiming that Wu had been touched just before scoring!

However, the Eagles were not to be denied, and as the game boiled down to three against three, AIS superior fitness and skill level under pressure told. Morgan Rines pressured her opponent forcing them into an error that let AIS in. Rines fed Itakura-Prepscius the ball and she broke upfield to take the last tackle and pass on to Malhotra who crossed for the golden winning score! It was superb!

Oh, yes, they did it! Our U20 Mixed Rugby Team are Champions and have taken home gold medals. ?

We could not be more proud!! Dreams really do come true. Congratulations to all the players across the entire squad and to Coach Pagel for taking them to the top! After that petition to get this team off the ground, it was fitting that the dream eventually became a reality before some of the students graduated and this talented group of players ended up as champions! We are very proud of you all: Well done Eagles!

WOOHOO!!! Our Season 4 sports teams have made it to the end of the season and have achieved some fabulous results as we move into the long summer holidays coming up.

Our U12 Girls Football ⚽ were very impressive in their run this season, as they were undefeated and won games against DBIS, CSA and DSC that got them straight into the playoffs. Unfortunately, the girls were so unlucky against DSC in the semi-finals hitting the post and losing narrowly 2-1, but beat CSA 1-0 to claim the bronze medal ?. It was unlucky for the girls as they have been very consistent this season, but it was a good learning experience for them as it was their first time playing football so they have come a long way in developing their footballing ability and knowledge of the game. Next year will be another opportunity to show their outstanding performances and hopefully a chance to win the gold medal. Great effort U12 girls football team!

Next up, our U12 Boys Football ⚽ team had shown signs of resilience as they were able to score against every team in the league, with a small marginal defeat to MCHK and a 4-3 win against CAIS. The boys fell short of going into the playoffs by 1 point, though the boys should still be happy with their performance as they battled hard against many challenging teams that had more experience playing at a competitive level. A highlight was beating a strong South Island team in a friendly down at Happy Valley scoring a last minute winner to win the game 4-3! We wish them good luck next year, hopefully they can have another go in reaching the playoffs and giving other teams a harder chance to fight for that medal. Well done boys!

Our U14 Girls Touch Rugby ? team showed great improvements as they faced challenging teams, having a close narrow defeat to ICHK and beating CAIS convincingly to reach the playoffs. Unfortunately, they fell short to a slightly more experienced KGV team 3-2 in the semi-finals but took the bronze medal ? home with a 4-2 win against CAIS. The girls should be proud of themselves, as they have come a long way in improving their confidence and teamwork which will be a good stepping stone to potentially achieving a championship next year and hopefully the years to come. Great job girls!

Finally, our U20 Mixed Touch Rugby ? Eagles were outstanding this season as they were also undefeated, beating ICHK, CAIS, MCHK and DSC to reach the playoffs final. Read our play-by-play by Mr. Wing to see how our Eagles were able to beat ICHK at the end to claim the gold medal and bring home the silver division banner. It is an amazing achievement and certainly the whole team should be proud of themselves for their amazing performances and teamwork as a whole. The team celebrated jumping in the swimming pool on a hot Friday afternoon, but throwing Mr. Pagel into the pool was an even better celebration! Well done boys and girls!

Thank you to all the student athletes that competed in the season 4 sports teams, we are all so proud of your development and the achievements you have brought back! Have a great summer holiday, and recharge those batteries!

I wish you all the very best in the future and I know that you will be in safe hands with Mr. Jacky Chan as the new Athletic Director, and you will come back better, stronger and hopefully even more successful next year! It has been an absolute pleasure to coach and be the AD of our fantastic AIS students all these years.

GO EAGLES!!!!

Once again, we should be very proud of the achievements and success that our season 3 teams have accomplished, as they have put in their best efforts and commitments at this very busy period of the year.

First was our U14 Girls Badminton ? team, who had great improvements throughout the season in their playing ability and to encourage one another as a team to stay positive against many experienced teams. This was shown through the 2 victories against ICHK and NAIS, and close games against DSC as well as CAIS, which showed great signs of resilience. Well done for your best efforts girls!

Next up was the U14 Boys Badminton ? who were very enthusiastic to play every game and were determined to improve each game in order to reach the playoffs. They were able to beat ASHK and had very close games against DSC, ICHK and CAIS. These were great results and hopefully with more experience next year, the boys could accomplish their goals to go a few steps further in the playoffs. Great effort boys!

There were signs of progression over the season with the U20 Girls Badminton ? team as they played against a more experienced VSA and DSA. The girls played with confidence against DSA, and were able to tie the game at 2-2 but with a more experienced player, the girls fell short. Though, the girls could certainly be proud of their performances as they have improved noticeably since the start of the season to the very last game. Well done ladies!

The U20 Boys Badminton ? team put in a good fight against many tough oppositions and have come a long way in improving their ability to compete and to encourage one another to stay resilient in every game they compete in. Despite not being able to make the playoffs, it was a very good experience for the boys and hopefully another opportunity to improve and to fight for the playoffs in the upcoming seasons. Well done lads!

Our U20 Girls Football ⚽ team made history after reaching the final of the playoffs for the first time ever, with only 1 loss in the 6 games leading to the playoffs. However, the girls fell short to an older and more experienced CIS team but nevertheless received a silver medal ?. For many of them, it was a very good stepping stone to get more experience in playing together to improve as a team and potentially fight for the gold next year. Well done ladies for putting up a really good fight!

The U20 Boys Football ⚽ team were able to compete well, with victories against SIS, DSC and CAIS to get into the playoffs. However, the boys fell short against a more experienced GSIS in the semi finals and fought to the very end against SIS for the third place playoff but unfortunately, luck did not present them a victory on penalties. Nevertheless, the boys could still be proud with their performances across the season as they have made tremendous improvements to beat challenging oppositions which could give them encouragement to regroup next year to do better. Well done to the U20 boys football team!

Finally our Junior and Senior Track & Field ??‍♀ teams have progressed significantly in their participation across several mini-meetups and most importantly, achieving several medals in the Track & Field Championships against 25 different international schools around Hong Kong. Our Junior team were able to achieve 4 medals on the day, with Natalie picking up 2 gold medals ?? in the U14 100m and 200m Sprint finals, a gold medal ? for Oliver in the U12 Long Jump final and So with a bronze medal ? in the U14 Long Jump final. In our Senior team, Marcus was able to receive a silver medal ? in the U16 Discus final, and Arnold receiving a silver medal ? along with Abrir receiving a bronze medal ? in the U16 High Jump finals.

Thanks to Ms. Abejero, Ms. Brosnan and Mr. Lennan for coaching these amazing athletes and well done to the whole Track and Field team for these impressive results!

Congratulations to all of our student athletes and coaches for all the great achievements in their Season 3 sports teams!

Our Season 2 sports teams have come a long way and certainly should be very proud of themselves for competing against many difficult teams. Our AIS Eagles have certainly made tremendous improvements from the beginning to the very end of Season 2.

First up, our U14 Girls Basketball ? had only one defeat all season meaning they went straight to their play-offs, where they were able to beat CAIS in the final after being down by a point in the last 2 minutes. Despite this, they were able to stay resilient and claw their way back to score 4 points and win the playoffs Championships ? for the first time ever! Congratulations to the U14 girls and well done to coach Phong on bringing in the gold for the girls, ?and for giving them great encouragement in every game!

Next up, our U14 Boys Basketball ? bounced back from their first game and were able to win three games consecutively against CAIS, ASHK and MCHK. Unfortunately, the boys were unable to make the playoffs but had really learned to play as a team and really developed good fighting energy to compete hard. Well done for really putting a good display out there, U14 boys!

Our U16 Boys Basketball ? team were able to compete well beating MCHK, ASHK and KCCIS, but just fell short of making the playoffs at the end losing to YMCA by 5 points. Nevertheless, a really good display by the U16 boys. Well done lads!

Our U20 Girls Basketball ? team displayed some encouraging performances against many challenging and tough opponents and were able to improve significantly from the start of the season to the very last game through better communication and teamwork. For many of them, it was a very good learning opportunity to continue playing basketball for fun or for some competition outside of school. Well done ladies!

The U20 Boys Basketball ? team fought hard and had some outstanding performance, beating SIS and YMCA to get them to the playoffs. However, the boys fell short on their playoff game against VSA. Nevertheless, the boys should be proud of their own performance as they have made some fantastic progress from start to finish. Well done boys!

Finally, the Junior & Senior Cross Country ? team had competed in several mini meets in Ma On Shan and Kowloon Tsai Park and was a very good opportunity for many to challenge themselves. They had their final meet against 880 other runners in Tai Lam Country Park and for many were happy as they were able to beat their personal bests records. Well done runners!

Once again, congratulations to all of our student athletes competing in our Season 2 sports teams! And many thanks to our amazing coaches who’ve taught and supported our students throughout an impressive season!
