AIS Virtual Cross Country Challenge 2022

The AIS Virtual Cross Country Challenge! involves completing a walk, hike, run, or cycle using any course members of the AIS community choose. AIS community members 16 years of age or over, can complete physical activities independently; however, we encourage all students to participate with others to ensure everyone’s maximum safety. Please note that all students under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a family member.

HOW TO ENTER:

  • Step 1: Complete the following steps on a smartphone device from the email link you received from the school. DO NOT use your computer. Choose the Runkeeper app (be sure to select the FREE option – DO NOT select the premium option) OR you can use any free app that tracks your chosen physical activity
  • Step 2: Complete your walk, hike, run, or cycle and track your activity on your chosen app. Don’t forget to press ‘Finish’ when you’re done!
  • Step 3: Take a screenshot of your walk, hike, run, or cycle from the free app you’re using to track your physical activity.
  • Step 4: Complete the Google Form and use your FULL NAME followed by your HOUSE COLOR and HOUSE NAME – for example, John Smith, Red Dragons – along with all other relevant information so we can accurately track house points. Only students and faculty members can earn house points. Don’t forget to upload your screenshot to the Google Form to verify your activity. You can also upload additional photos of you before, during, and or after the race, using the above form if you like.

Participation is easy and fun! Don’t forget to post your participation using the hashtag #AISXCountryChallenge. The great news is, if you are a student or faculty member, every time you complete a walk, hike, run, or cycle you earn 1 house point! This is also a fundraising event for new equipment for the P.E. Department.

Donations can be made by directly transferring an amount of your choice to the AIS PTA Account at HSBC*: 004 – 461184 – 533 – 001. Be sure to email a copy of the deposit slip to pta@ais.edu.hk after your transfer.

*Transfers from HSBC accounts will NOT require the first three digits (004) as it is the bank code for HSBC. Transfers from non-HSBC accounts will require the input of bank code (004).
