15 November Family & Student Update
Dear Families and Students,
Please review this important newsletter to learn about a new government flu vaccination program, OELP highlights, and more! What a week we’ve had!
2024/2025 Seasonal Influenza Vaccination Programme
The Department of Health is launching a Seasonal Influenza Vaccination School Outreach Program for schools. This free program is being offered at schools across the city, and we are asking families if they would like their student(s) to participate. The program is designed to reduce the spread of this illness which is transmitted more frequently over the busy holiday season.
If you would like your student(s) to participate in the program, kindly fill out THIS FORM by Thursday, 21 November. Families must complete one form for each student they wish to enroll in the program. Participating families will receive the government consent form from the school on Friday, 22 November.
Some important points to note about the program:
Age | Dosage |
Children 9 years old or above | One dose |
Children under 9 years of age | Receive 2 doses of SIV with a minimum interval of 4 weeks (28 days) between |
For enquiries, please call the Department of Health at 2125-2128.
OELP
There is no question that our OELP programs have provided invaluable learning for our students these past two weeks. I would like to thank our faculty for their dedication to ensuring that our students have the opportunity to experience new things, to travel, and to develop their confidence and independence. I would also like to thank the school Leadership and Administration Teams for their roles in making sure that the trips were well-planned and executed. And, last but not least, I would like to thank our parents for their support and trust. It takes a village.
BRAVO to everyone!
The pictures that were shared on social media these last two weeks confirm that our programs are just spectacular and worth every minute of planning and preparation. There really are just too many photos to share, but these stood out.
